Peyton Hillis Might Be The Biggest Douche In the NFL (This Season)

Switch to Cinci this year. They are actually doing good 🙂 Rookie power!

I lived in Cincinnati for 18 years and never could be a fan of the Bengals, even when the Browns went AWOL for a few years. Luckily, I enjoy watching the Falcons and they have filled the void.

I just can't believe there are people in this thread who drafted Hillis thinking he would be the reason they do well in FF.

And yes, he should have thought of the children. That's pretty messed up. They don't understand contract disputes and stuff like that. They just wanted to meet an NFL guy, the guy on the cover of Madden, etc.

If you aren't even sure if he's a fullback or a running back, stay the hell out of the discussion

the BROWNS came out and said they were trying to negotiate a new deal with him - not Hillis and his agent.

Strep throat in adults is not something to play around with. The teams medical staff did not clear him to play.

How do either of those things make him a douche?

He has a bum hamstring - that makes him a douche?

The thing with the kids event - they are saying there was some communication breakdown - he seemed apologetic enough about it, and I'm sure he'll make it up at some point.

He's a good guy - if the NFL was full of guys like him it would be a better league.

Ask Drew Brees about that Madden curse by the way...ridiculous

In fact, this entire discussion is ridiculous.

Cleveland Sucks :awe:

Peyton, is that you?

"The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports Hillis' brother and agent ..."

His brother is his agent? This could be part of the problem. I hope his brother graduated from HS.

So can the guy run? Or is he a fullback dozer type?

Sorry don't watch much nfl.

He had a huge year last year. He's big, looks like an oldschool fullback but is pretty agile and has good hands. Caught a lot of passes out of the backfield and rushed for over 1k last year.

This year he's more interested in missing work and blowing off charity obligations.

Running backs are so overrated. A guy has one or two good years and all of a sudden he's worth tens of millions of dollars? They're probably the most expendable position in the NFL; just get someone who is serviceable and focus on the O-line. Because a good O-line will make any back (or quarterback) look elite. Then when your RB has used up his decent years and starts holding out for a multimillion dollar long-term contract, just trade him and get a new guy.

I haven't played fantasy but I have noticed that RBs seem to bring in more points than their actual contribution to a team's win would indicate. But real life is not fantasy.

I am loling over Chris Johnson right now. CJ2YPC 😛 Wondering why a guy like Steven Jackson isn't really getting much attention when he's on pace for a seventh consecutive 1000 yard season. Sure he's never gone over about 1500 yards but it's rare to see a RB produce for that long.

No, he was traded because McDaniels and the GM were fucking morons.

This. Except that McD was the GM so its really just him and Bowlen for giving him all that power.

However, I will say that at the time the fans were very pissed about the move - now its definitely not even in the top 5 as far as dumb shit McD did to ruin our franchise. He had one good year and I don't see him doing anything more

Forgive me for I am a Browns fan. I prefer the Cowboys' record over the last decade.

Trust me, you don't want to be envious of the Cowboys. If you enjoy living in the past, you may as well stick with the Browns. Sure, they don't have any Super Bowl wins, but they won a ton of pre-Super Bowl NFL championships and they had a perfect season long before the '72 Dolphins.

Plus it's just embarrassing to be a Cowboys fan these days. Their expectations are so high but they just suck so bad. They talk about Tony Romo but he's a terrible washed up QB who will never amount to anything. At least Colt McCoy is young and still has the potential to get better. If the Browns so much as win a game, it's a huge accomplishment, but all the Cowboys do is fail to live up to expectations.

I am a Vikings fan, I know something about disappointment.

Anyone ever seen what his wife looks like? It's no wonder he's missing so much time haha
