yeah, if druggies and high school dropouts are known for anything, it's their massive turnout to vote.

Probably was a mistake for Kerry to pander to them during the election, wasn't it?

Yeah, you're right, instead of saying "I want to reach out to all the crackheads and heroin junkies out there" he should have appealed to the "moral values" of the country and said "elect me, and I promise to attack more countries than Bush for even fewer reasons!"

The Democrats failure to bring out their base, no matter who it is, is their own fault and a result of their incompetence.

That is pretty much what I'm saying :) Except for the "attack more countries part."

The "Vote or Die" campaign did not work. Bush energized his base with a moral mesasge.

Kerry could not get this part of his base (18-25 year olds) to turn off Road Rules 23: Battle of the Sexes long enough to vote.

Look who won.

I truly believe that the "Vote of Die" campaign of hyperbole may have actually cost Kerry votes with likely voters who really matter.

How did we go from crackheads, heroin junkies, and high school droupouts, to the entire 18-25 block?

No, it's the result of the country being conservative. The democrats got their vote out just fine, 2nd highest pop. vote in history, right behind Bush at #1. For all the people out there kissing Rove's ass and berating Kerry for not doing this or that, the simple fact of the matter is, if the country did not agree with what Bush was doing, they would not have voted for him.

Would you shut up? How could you know if Kerry's friends modified enough numbers to change the result of the election? How could you know if they were honest? You could not. What if democratic congressmen in control of Congress had refused to make it mandatory that these voting machines print verifiable ballots? Wouldn't you suspect a fraud? Is naivete a quality? Most republicans on this board do not care about democracy.

You're just proving the hatemongering part on yourself. Just can't stand but to call everyone else that thinks differently than you an Idiot, Stupid, or Retards.
Thanks for welcoming everyone to come together.....

9637 Total Signatures on petition....

That's actually not as bad as I thought it would be.

It's comforting in a way to know that there are only ten thousand A$$ hurt sissies in this country who need to sent a tissue.

Do what you want. The MAJORITY (and electoral votes) elected President Bush. All the digging and search and accusations are just a waste of time. But go ahead if you wish.

Kinda like waiting in line for Halo 2. HA

I don't get this line of thought. Yeah, we know Bush won, duh. But if he won by fraud, don't you think we need to know about it? I don't think he did, but why not do some looking just to make sure, and to put to rest these conspiracy theories?

I'm sure bashing the 55 million Kerry voters based on a petition signed by 10,000 people is more fun than telling those 10,000 to make go for it and either help the country or prove themselves wrong. But investigating potential voter fraud is win/win for most people, would you give that up for an opportunity to bash liberals?

All voter fraud stinks....and should be investigated

With that said, look at the addresses (city state) of the people who signed this petition so far.

This is nothing but post electorate whine and cheese....

Where in my post did I tell anyone to not investigate? You are looking for issue where there are none. GO, do the investigation. PLEASE do. But even if it's proven again that President Bush won, there will be people out there saying the investigation was rigged and there is an investigation into the investigation.

Don't make issues where there are none!

Most people don't have enough moral character to push for an investigation into something when they win. How many people complain about a stacked deck when they hit blackjack? Frankly I'd be surprised if I saw a bunch of conservatives signing this petition, just like I'd be surprised to see liberals signing one if Kerry won. They won, after all, why would they want to investigate that? Most people probably don't.

I'm not making any issues, I'm saying I think Bush won fairly. But since other people have brought this issue up and made allegations, I think they should be investigated, if only to put the issue to rest.

There is going to be a lot of money and time spend into the investigation. While our system is worth fixing If in fact it is borken I think taking this money and putting to those who need it is a bit more benificial. Liberals are always complaining about services or helping those in need. But I wonder (not sure at all) how many who "cry the blues" about such things took the checks President Bush send out and donated that money to a charity or a soup kitchen. Or bought someone a jacket or a lunch. We all find faults in eachother and are quick to judge (I don't exclude myself) but instead of trying to find the fault in "the other side" try to fix the faults in ourselves. I think I'm going off base -

Just do the investigation - fix the system. But then fix ourselves. Because the system is us. Again I'm off-base!

This is NOTHING guys!!! I just realized what the BIG PLAN is! Came to me outta nowhere.

You know those BUNKER-BUSTING nukes that Bush wants? Says they're for the TERRORISTS, but I FIGURED IT OUT.

He's gonna DROP one of those bad boys down into the SAN ANDREAS FAULT. Yep - the California coast is gonna SLIDE INTO THE SEA. This gets those lowdown REPUBS another 55 red votes in the NEXT ELECTION.

I'm going to START A PETITION to STOP him, as well as CREATING A FLASH MOVIE to show the TENTATIVE PLAN. This is gonna be on the DAILY SHOW soon, and MOVEON.ORG is going to make some COMMERCIALS to EXPOSE the TYRANNY!!!

I have no doubt that GWB won the popularvote, although it was much narrower than 3.5 million votes.

I also have little doubt that kerry won the popular vote. http://ustogether.org/Florida_Election.htm

Specificall look at baker, Bay, calhoun, columbia, franklin, glades, holmes, jackson and other counties with results far different from what should have been expected. (look for large percentages in

Calhoun county, for example, had a 7 to 1 democrat to republican ratio, but voted almost 2 to 1 in favor of bush. While possible, that is very unlikely. The same thing happened in baker county. Democrats out-registered republicans 3 to 1, but republicans won the county by more than 3 to 1. it happens again in bradford county, columbia, and many other counties. While it is possible for a county to swing signifigantly in 4 years, repeated swings of this magnitude out next to impossible. Therefore i call BS in florida.

Either way the election system needs to be fixed. I don't trust computers to not be fuxed with.

and then there is this from here.

Harris then proceeded to open a laptop computer that had on it the software used to tabulate the votes by one of the aforementioned central processors. Journalist Thom Hartman describes what happened next: "So Harris had Dean close the Diebold GEMS tabulation software, go back to the normal Windows PC desktop, click on the 'My Computer' icon, choose 'Local Disk C:,' open the folder titled GEMS, and open the sub-folder 'LocalDB' which, Harris noted, 'stands for local database, that's where they keep the votes.' Harris then had Dean double-click on a file in that folder titled Central Tabulator Votes,' which caused the PC to open the vote count in a database program like Excel. 'Let's just flip those,' Harris said, as Dean cut and pasted the numbers from one cell into the other. Harris sat up a bit straighter, smiled, and said, 'We just edited an election, and it took us 90 seconds.'"

A little bit to easy IMO.
