I heard Rand Paul on a local radio show here in Ky and he sounds like a good guy. Then I found out who his dad was. Clearly easier to swallow than his father. At least he admitted to having his Dad's name and riding his coatails. Honesty in a politician is refreshing.

Are you kidding? Ron Paul, like him or not, is probably the most honest person in Congress.

^ lol, what? Ron Paul is no different than your average U.S. Senator/Rep member. Difference is he's even more extreme than the current fringe extremists (be it Kucinich or whoever).

Why doesn't Schiff put out a bucket for donations when his brokerage clients come and visit.

Ohhh, wait. They have no fucking money because HE LOST IT ALL FOR THEM.

Oops.

Oops.

I imagine someone living in the last year would feel this way.

The truth is, Schiff's investment advice is, and always has been, based upon a long-term outlook, not short-term trading. To say that 2008 was bad for Schiff's clients is quite dishonest, as 2008 was a bad year for everyone else, too.

Considering what's been going on in 2009, I imagine his clients are probably happy campers. Gold was up, but then back down, however the dollar has been having trouble this year, and some foreign markets have been doing much better than the US.

You would think that the guy who wrote a book on how to profit from the coming economic collapse wouldn't have lost all his money in the economic collapse.

Basic mathematics doesn't register with these guys. The OP himself truly believes Ron Paul isn't like every other politician + a dash of extreme loony. You can't reason with that kind of naivete.

LOL, for somebody predicting impending doom you would have thought he would have advised his clients differently. Especially when he had them buy Asian assets denominated in dollars without hedging the risk. Furthermore, the dollar hasn't done much but go sideways this year, same with gold.

You lose on all fronts. As does, by the numbers, Schiff. I guess you two have something in common, you're both massive fucking losers.

But hey, that's what fellow losers do for eachother, make ignorant excuses.

He sure did.

Buy it now on sale! Apparently 'crash proof' might have been a bit of an exaggeration.

Way to puss out on reality, like you always do. Instead of refuting my points behind investing in asian stocks denominating in dollars, or gold, or the dollar, you puss out. Really, it's that type of action that earns you nothing but scorn.

Schiff is a fucking tool. He was irresponsible to his clients. He "predicted" nothing, he just jumped in front of the crowd to become some perma-bear. He showed this when he was a perma-bear on the dollar v oil and fucked his clients there when he stuck them in solar stocks and they got fucked. Any fool could see that the raise in oil wasn't due to the dollar. He didn't.

Therefore, he's a fucking moron without an exit strategy or long-term plan for his clients.

Your link doesn't show anything regarding "losing all his money."

You offered nothing worth refuting. His strategies are all long-term. Your original post was based on 2008 info, months after the collapse. His clients should be having a good year, but even that's irrelevant. He's looking years into the future. Unless you have a crystal ball, you have nothing. So you resort to personal attacks. But hey, I'll give you some credit, so far you haven't whipped out the straw man.

Regardless, it would be nice to see another anti-war, social liberal, fiscal conservative in Congress.

You can go read Mish's points with Schiff about his investment styles.

His viewpoints weren't "long term", unless you call putting people into stupid investments at the high point "long term".

I have. And I also read Schiff's response. Have you?

Schiff doesn't seem to be going out of business. ;)

In fact, he's been complaining about slow-moving government which has prevented him from hiring more people.

Yes, I did. It smacked of "I know I suck but I will come up with a bunch of tangential arguments", hey, just like you!

Good, I hope more morons like you invest with him. That way he is guaranteed not to have any money for his campaign.

I've never made a donation for anyone before. This is going to be my first.
