Pete Buttigieg's on FoxNews a lot - why?

They might as well be MAGA news, they're Trump fanatics who hate Democrats and even attempt to hide that fact. Pete seems to be on once a week lately, and every time he's owning the shit out of whoever's interviewing him. I'm confused at why they air interviews of him making their hosts look extra stupid and getting fact checked on the lies they spread. It seems after the 1st they would have shut that shit down, but they continue to let him on and continue to air the interviews after the fact. I know I'm biased against Fox, but he's really tearing hosts up and they just keep inviting him back. I honestly would have thought while editing the 1st interview they would have seen what he does and would have ended that shit.

The way he calmly keeps talking why the host is attempting to talk over him's beautiful to watch. This guy will hopefully be president 1 day.

Fox loves confrontation and fights. It gets one every time a dem shows up so of course that's going to have much higher ratings than just endless Megyn Kelly or Tucker Carlson or whoever they have up there now.

He's said it multiple times that he wants to meet people where they are and get them the message where they are.

If you're watching Fox News, the only good thing you might hear about Biden/Harris that challenges the standard Fox narrative will be from him being on Fox

Yep. He has a good point too. He's like they are never hearing a different point of view so if he can do that on Fox, he has to do it. It's one of the few chances they get to hear reality.

That's his best quality, he's fearless.

I'll ask OP the same question I ask my wife-WHY IN THE WORLD DO YOU EVER EVEN TUNE IN TO FOX "NEWS"? You do realize they are a commercial entity and all you are doing by watching them is increasing their viewership and income (via the rates they charge advertisers). To me it's foolish and counterproductive for any sane person to be helping Faux make more money.

Got to know their strategy.

They keep letting him show up and stomp idiots into oblivion, why wouldn't he keep going?

They recognize the car wreck effect, where people can't look away (cha ching), but it's also a way for them to claw back some kind of journalistic integrity. Showing Fox is a place that sometimes allows their talking heads to being taken apart in dramatic fashion is how they can do it.

But that isn’t the OP’s question. Why does Faux keep inviting him? Sure when he was running for 2020, his town halls were in high demand. But when he just humiliates the hosts, guess they are just gluttons for punishment.

Their ad revenue goes up?

I don't even own a TV, I watch highlight clips on a few anti MAGA channels on YT. I know they're just showing pieces of the interview and it's "out of context" but Pete is brutally shutting them down in every one. It seems the last thing they'd want was an intelligent, well-spoken Dem who can't be bullied pointing out all their bullshit. I guess semi kudos to Fox for having the balls to air these because they look worse than normal in them lol.

You can't reach the mindless MAGA morons who only watch Faux, unless you go on Faux.

I wonder if the Faux healthcare plan covers the counseling that those that take on Pete on air so they can stop twitching after being eviscerated by Pete

It would seem to be a net negative for Fox so it is weird they keep contacting him. Maybe even Fox is reading the tea leaves and see a non zero chance for a progressive future and is just keeping a foot in the door
