Pet Tracker? Is there a way to track a lost pet...

I have a couple of cats that are indoor cats and I'm worried about them possibly getting outside and running away... I'm wondering is there is anything on the market that I could put on their collar such that if they escaped I could track their position? I imagine there must be a fairly cheap ($200 US or less) thing I could get for their collar, then when they actually escape rent (?) a tracking device from a pet store or something so that I could get their location? It would obviously use radar and probably just give me their range from where I am...

Is there anything like this available?!

Wild life people use these in the wild so it must be possible - and reasonable.

Hmm, that would work but its pretty damn big. I was hoping for something very small that would not look ridiculous on a cat
