Ya im scared of spiders, but they are awesome creatures. If they could just tell me that they won't bite me, id be totally cool.

Also did you guys hear about the study they did with drugs and spiders?

They gave all these different spiders all sorts of different drugs: Alcohol, LSD, MaryJane, etc.
and all their web designs were crazy.

I need to google that...

one
blocked for me
another blocked site
works for me

Wonder why so many people including me are afraid of spiders

Theres people afraid of feathers, raisins, paper but these are down to bad experiances. Surely all the people who fear spiders couldnt have ALL had bad spider experiances when they were younger.

Me too. I find them fascinating, but they creep me out when they are crawling on me.

I recently went to Wendy's drive through, rolled the window down and a brown spider (about the size of a quarter) dropped on my shirt, I immediately screamed like a girl, swooshed it off, and pulled over to find it. couldn't find it for 15 minutes and wouldn't get back in the car until I knew where it was and removed it! (it was in the pouch on the inside of the door).
I like and respect them, just don't want them crawling on me!

They eat the pest bugs and don't invade your house!

This gal on the other hand got the death penalty (before giving it to me under the handle of my recycle bin!) Actually they love my recycle bin. I regularly check under the handle and several times a year find Black Widows there. Not sure why they like that location....

I've got the gal that that just moves around yards. I felt it was unfair to keep her indoors, so I took her home and let her loose in the shrubs where she can have all the bugs she can possibly eat. Thanks for finding a picture, aren't they stunning?

I hear that if you are afraid of something then eating it is the best solution.
Some psycological thing.

Use ketchup.

Also, she removes her web everytime she relocates. And those are big webs.

I too am a hater of all things arachnid. Don't invite me over, your pet might suffer from Sudden Decompression!

Tarantulas are fascinating to watch sometimes. Used to go to Petsmart and get crickets for mine.

I was fortunate to watch the pet tarantulas we had here *molt* it's skin. As they grow, they shed their outcovering. They flip on their back, and push out the shell, looks exhausting. Very interesting. When they are getting ready to do this, they'll stop eating.

I kept just a small ordinary spider in a medicine bottle for a year once.

I even forgot about it once for like 3 months and it was still alive! :Q

I just dropped a few ants or other such little bugs in there every once in a while, lol...
