I don't feel like it interferes with my sleep at all.

LIAR! You don't have a dog!!!!111 DOGS DON'T EXIST!!

Both of our little dogs sleep with us. The yorkie sleeps under the covers behind my wife's knees, the other one steals my pillow every chance he gets...

My 12 year old cat "tucks me in at night" by laying down next to my pillow, on my hand, then purring until I go to sleep...she sings me to sleep...she'd done it for about 10 years, and I now have trouble falling asleep without it.
Once I'm asleep, she gets up and sleeps at the foot of the bed on my wife's side of the bed where there's more room.

Our cat sleeps with us in our bed nearly every night. Occasionally she will mosey into one of the kids' rooms.
It doesn't interfere at all, until she wakes me up at 6am or so wanting her bowl of milk. She's a good alarm clock though as that's pretty much the time I have to get up anyways.

Pet owners, do you get as good sleep with your pet in the bed?

Yea, I sleep better with my cat on or next to me. I get restless when I can't feel her.

She either sleeps on me or curled up next to me.

Edit: My dog sleeps in her crate.

Until I moved in with my wife (then gf), my cats slept with me. I don't notice any difference in how well I sleep. I actually enjoyed being woken up every now and then by my cats curling around the top of my head. It was funny/cute.

edit: Now that I think about it. I probably sleep worse overall because now the cats sometimes cry at the bedroom door when they want attention.

dog sleep in bed under the covers cuddled up to me.

occasionally the dog sleeps on the covers because it got too hot, it can make rolling over difficult, but this is rarely a problem.

My cats have always slept in the bed with me - heck I dunno how I could stop them even if I wanted to 🙂

When I was younger we had dogs and they would sleep in the bed too. With the smaller dog it wasn't a big deal but when an 85lb doberman jumps in the bed with you, its hard to stay asleep until he settles down.

Cat can sleep on the bed. Dog is not allowed on the bed though.

RACIST!

 I was waiting for that.

The cat weighs 10lbs, the dog weighs 80lbs and it's just my wife and I in a queen sized bed. I also don't want our bed smelling like dog.

The dog is not allowed on any beds or furniture in the house but she does get on the beds when we're not there if we leave the bedroom doors open...which is why we don't leave them open when we're not there. 😉

i never liked animals in the bed. when i was married the ex had a runt of a shetland sheep dog that i banned from the bed after about 3 nights.

i was house sitting with this one chick i was dating, and her friends had four fat basset hounds, and she let them all in the bedroom with us. what a horrible, horrible night that was.

Me and my dog fight for the wall every so often. He also sleeps on the window sill by my head. I don't know how he manages not to fall since he is ~50lbs and there is so little clearance on the window.

He also sleeps with his legs sticking out the windows in the summer, but the window guards keep him from falling to a spiky death.

If one of our cockers is not where they wife can feel him, she can not sleep properly

Yuck. Dogs in the bed are gross. So are cats, but slightly less so. They both get the boot though.

They're animals. They should be thrilled by the simple fact that they don't live on the street or in a medical research facility.

Both of our cats sleep in the bed w/ us. One likes it on top of the covers by our feet... the other gets under the covers usually on my side b/c the wife smacks him around when he licks himself. I sleep through anything.

I love having pussy on my bed. Dogs, not so much.

Fixed. 😉

Before I broke up with my ex, we had two cats (18 pounds & 16 pounds) who slept in shifts on the bed with us. The little one would curl up next to me every night while I fell asleep but wouldn't stay there for too long. The bigger one would settle down against her legs or my back at some point and stay there until morning.

Have a 120lb yellow lab that absolutely loves sleeping in beds. I put an end to that though. However, in retaliation she has commandeered one of the leather couches.
