Pest Control: In house tubing system

I recently purchased a home (about a year ago) and it has the in wall tubing system that pest control companies hook up to and spray in the walls. Is there something I can purchase on my own to do this all myself? I am sick of paying $90 every 3 months for half ass work and want to start doing it myself. I already spray the parameter on the outside and treat my lawns every week.

Any ideas?

You need to be careful as injecting the wrong pesticide into a fixed distribution system could be hazardous to people and pets living in the house!

Me neither. I read a little online about the system but, it seems a little counter intuitive to me. I would think good construction and spraying outside the house would be as effective. On the other hand, after living in Florida, not much short of a flame thrower could keep the bugs out.

We are NOT invested with anything....it was the terms of the contract with two different pest companies....which is exactly why I am here.

I just want to be able to handle issues when they come up on my OWN. Good grief people.....

I pay $75, IMHO its worth it, whenever I see any bug inside or even on patio I just give them a call, they come and spray their stuff... I myself would have never been able to do that, I am too freakin lazy. Specially this year with all the rain, I have called them a LOT.

Pretty much had the same thought at first, but I have to fight carpenter ants by spraying around the house all summer long. So I could see if you living down south it might be worthwhile.

At any rate, I didn't doubt it existed...I just said I'd never heard of it! LMGTY is funny and all, but I'm not exactly planning on installing a retrofit.

Yeah, it actually sounds pretty handy. I think part of the exterior wall of my house got water damage and ants try to start a nest every year until I spray the shit out of them. Obviously, the real solution is to search out and replace any damaged wood but plugging a tank of bug poison up for a few minutes sounds a lot easier. Those things are determined.

This actually gives me an idea...it'd be cool if you strung a tube around top of the foundation of your house and then you could pump poison in and it would just run down all around and put the shield up. I do this manually now every couple months in the summer.

I think that if you have an ongoing problem that needs spraying every 3 months, that's a symptom of some other problem, rather than the problem itself. Carpenter ants constantly trying to move in? Find their colony that's near the house. Somewhere there's rotting wood, possibly in a pine tree. Eliminate that colony & you won't have problems with that colony trying to spread out. Ditto ant nests in the wall - damp wood or something is resulting in that.

It's like you have a big hunk of rotting meat. Every other day you have pest control to come out and eliminate all the maggots. The problem isn't the maggots, the problem is the big hunk of rotting meat.
