The faq over at their forum is an interesting read, apparantly without actual intent to contact in a real world situation they go no further (posting the personal info and such) That would be a stopgap between fantasy and reality.

I don't know. He claims that he knew that the other person was an adult and was role-playing. Which is 100% correct. Of course you and I have all the information at hand. The question is, what was his state of mind. Reading through the weblog, I got the feeling too that it was an adult and not a child. Of course, I wouldn't be as brave/stupid as he is and I am in no way defending his actions, but nor do I believe this person to be a danger to children.

EDIT: I should probably point out, in the interest of full disclosure, that I have a few fantasies that I find erotic but others might find offensive. Pedophilia doesn't excite me in the least, but I suppose finding anything taboo erotic makes you somewhat sympathetic.

I in no way am condoning the act of pedophilia. I think that child pornography is wrong, and sex with children worse. Thought and action are worlds apart, however. A healthy out for this fetish would be play-acting with your SO dressed in a school-girl uniform. Which I'm sure happens more often than anyone is willing to admit, lest they bring down the rath of the anti-pedophile task force.
