Peru crushes 50,000 pirated CDs with a steamroller

Reuters reports that in Peru the goverment is also making progress in fighting CD piracy, as they have crushed about 50,000 pirated CDs with a steamroller. In Lima, the captial of the country, musicians and singers danced on the pieces of the CDs that were left over.

what i don't get is apparently they also destroyed a bunch of chewing gum at the same time. What the heck?

Good for them.. Now, if only they could put the actual pirates under the steamroller that would save them the trouble of busting those scumbags in the future.

I've been to Peru.
Landed in Lima took a bus to Chiclayo, and then bummed around the small towns around chiclayo. Interesting cities. Peru has a great drink called INCA COLA, it's awesome.

They going to need to do a much better job then that like put in a nuclear reactor where it burned into nothing. LOL, im sure i can find plenty of it under that roller that will still function! This is pathetic, just a show for entertainment purpose?
