Ok right now im trying to install a heatsink and fan on a 2.0ghz amd/nforce2 rd8a+.

the retention clips on the fan seem like they Really dont reach the nubs on the processor holder. Also, after i was trying to make the clips reach lightly , i took off the heatsink and it seems almost as if the dye on the processor is bleeding to one side or something? not sure if it was like this before but im worrying about it.

I would really appreciate if anyone could get back soon -- i'm doing this now and hoping that something didn't mess up.

edit: because i forgot to get a heatsink in my original order i did have to go out to get an athlon xp socket a heatsink/fan at compusa :\
 
Nevermind about the bleeding! just saw a pic on google that had a similar looking deal to it. But the clips really won't reach?
