Personal/work phone suggestions

My wife and I currently have our phones on VZW unlimited phone plans and receive a nice discount through her employer. My employer is decided to give all employees a choice of either an iPhone 5s or Samsung S4 on VZW instead of messing around with reimbursements. Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but not sure I want an iPhone and I like my Note 2 more than the smaller S4.

Is the unlimited data plan something I should hold on to? I assume that I could just swap the SIM card into my Note 2? Anything else I should consider?

Yes, absolutely. Take the 5S, sell it (and your Note 2, eventually), and buy a Note 3.

Meh, always hated carrying around two phones. I would not give up my vzw unlimited though, and glad I didn't because I quit and got my new job to reimburse me.

Do still gladly take the 18% discount from my former employer though .

Does your employer care what you do with your phone? Personal calls were prohibited, data usage was monitored, to sync with the company email you needed a pin lock and permissions granted to have the device wiped remotely etc. with my company phone.

If it is brand new I would see about a vzw store possibly exchanging it for a Note 3.

I would go with the S4 since you already have a Note 2 but that's just me.

My employer doesn't care what we do with the phone and there are not any restrictions on email. To this point, I haven't even been required to have a lock screen on my phone. I just asked for an S4 and will decide what to do later. I'm horrible with reimbursement anyways so its not like I will probably save much money.
