after installing the proxy as a service, is there any way to veiw the console again? or are you stuck with the lousy log?

HMM...I assume you're talking about NT or Win2K? I have it installed in Linux along with ppstats, and I just point the browser at the stats page to see the numbers. Would it be the same in Windows?

There's no way that I know of to run as a service and also see the console. That's sort of the point behind a service, it's an unseen process that's always running.

I just make do with looking at the log.

well, i would just make due with the log but i keep getting an error and it would prolly help a bit more to look at the pproxy,

[Jul 22 23:49:08 UTC] Retrieved RC5 work unit 21 of 24 (87.50% transferred)
[Jul 22 23:49:08 UTC] FetchRC5::Unable to receive acknowledgement. (0.168)

but if i open another instance of the proxy it will send fine, or if i let it wait and the next tiem it trys to update ittl work fine, oh and if all services were ment to NOT be seen, why would the www, ftp and news servers all have VISUAL access to them even after they have started

/me goes to install ppstats
