I'm looking to buy a good portable cd player - walkman type, you know what I mean... I want to spend as little as I can, because I will only be using this thing when I go out on trips and stuff, and I don't do that very often. I do want long battery life, good size (meaning small of course) and good quality audio, though. MP3 playing is a plus, but I don't really care if it has it or not, price is a bigger priority. I'm looking to spend $50-$75 US, I think, which is about $75-$110 Canadian.

So far I've looked at the RCA RP2442, Sony D-E350, and Sony D-F200.

Anyone have any comments about any of these, or used/have them? Other recommendations? Thanks

iPod. Why get a cd player when you can get something smaller and hold 50+ CDs.

get the least expensive one. Do you need AM/FM tuner? If you aren't gonna use it often, why spend loads of cash?

Could it be because the iPod is 5 times the price?

I'd rather save and get something more useful...but that's just me.

I'd rather do that too, but only for things that I use a lot. I don't think I'll be using this baby a whole lot. I'd never blow so much money on an iPod when I could get so much other more useful stuff.
