Biggest complaint hardcore LCD fans have with image quality is people using VGA and not knowing any better.
But you are correct. I have a fancy HP monitor that was considered top of the line when it came out, a better than average cable, and I only buy name brand video cards. Never would I use onboard video, even for a cheap home-office sysetm.
