personal finance software for very simple finances?

money and the like is far to complicated and bloated for my needs

I'm looking for something that just keeps track of my simple personal *micro*finances
I want to be able to see a simple report of my money and be able to change parameters here and there and see how they affect it

 

Just use Excel or the Open Office spreadsheet program.

what kind of parameters are you interested in?

yeah excel would work, but I don't have time to design a very good system on there
and I'd rather have something that can teach me about finance/give me advice

re parameters: I want to be able to be able to change how much I spend on various recurring payments and see how the affect the future

use money or quicken and just dont USE those extra features.
That is your best bet period. That way as your finances get more and more complicated (and they will) you have everythign built into the prgram already.
