Persona 5

Didn't see a previous thread about the game so just wanted to post that a new gameplay trailer has been leaked:

It might get taken down since another one was earlier today. If you never saw the original trailer it's here:

I'm really looking forward to Persona 5. I got into the Persona series when I picked up a PSP cheap about 2 years ago and got Persona 3. I wanted to play Persona 4 Golden but didn't want to buy a Vita or PS TV just for it.

Can't wait. Strangely it was absent from E3, Altus wasn't there showing it or talking about it. They still say it will hit stores this year on PS3 and PS4 but I'm a little worried that the lack of anything at E3 means they are not going to make it.

There's always the Tokyo Game Show. The only awkward thing about waiting that long is that TGS is always in September, which means there are only 3 months left for a worldwide release. We don't normally get games that soon after their Japanese release.

Unless they are doing translations and all that at the same time as the Japanese version I don't see how they will do it.

Out of everything we saw at E3 I am still most excited for Persona 5. I know the series has some haters, mainly the SMT purist fanboys. Say what you want but Persona 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. It got me through some tough times years ago.

The persona games are some of my favorite of all times, but I must say that by the end of the games, I'm usually a bit burnt out on the dungeons, since they generally don't change much, and the mobs don't change much.

If I could name any 1 beef with the game, it would be that. More varied dungeons and mobs this time around, please. Not that it will every happen.

And I'll still buy the game and love it anyway, sadly 😀

True, thought that's par for me with almost every game after about 50 hours. I just want to finish it, my mind already wants something else. Only exception I remember for this rule was Suikoden 3, I loved those characters so much that I almost didn't want to keep playing because the end was near and I would not see them again.

I can understand that. I'm usually the same way. Persona 4 was special though. Even with the same-y dungeons and the battle mechanics remaining the same throughout the whole game I still love it. The true final boss and the way the story wraps up. Ugh I get chills just thinking about it.

Final boss spoilers
How you fight the true final boss while an orchestral version of Reach Out to the Truth plays and how your teammates sacrifice themselves one at a time to give you the energy to finish the battle and stop the murders once and for all.
Good stuff man
