Greetings,

I am the high bidder on this auction. This is to be a Christmas present for my son. It is my intention to send the payment via Paypal just as soon as possible, however an excessive amount of early Christmas shopping has left my accounts dry until my next paycheck on the 15th. Can you wait that long?

-Tim

Should i wait? It said clearly in my auction payment required w/i 3 days.....

EDIT: He paid... 😀

If you have to ask you can probably wait... better than the hassle of another auction and relisting IMO.

The 3 neg's are from failure to pay 🙂

I guess i can wait, no real hurry...

Accept the delay, but require a premium for holding the item.

In your response, specifically point out the payment rules. Indicate that you are willing to bend them with a non-refundable penalty payment.

Holiday spirt and all I would hold the item with his understanding that if payment isn't recieved on the 15th he is NPB.

At least he was upfront about his situation.

I gave him until the 16th (so his paycheck could cash)

😀

wait he seems good, 2 of the negs were from 2002 and he has like 100+ sence then, the other one was from sone leaving a rtalatory neg

You will wait for him to pay on the 16th with a 10% interest charge. Christmas shopping is rough for you too and you were counting on his money for your Christmas shopping now you have to wait.

I would tell him to pay the equivlent of the ebay fees upfront, and if you don't have the remainder by the 16th, it's going back up on the auction block with no chance of cancellation... he would have to be the winning bidder again.

Although it could be true, it would be the kind of excuse I would use if I was trying to get a lower winning bid on a similar auction.
