Hmm, the first line in the description does say "REMEMBER YOU ARE NOT BIDDING ON THE ACTUAL ELECTRONICS".

Actually, I think some people just run up these auctions with no intentions of paying so that the seller is faced with a high auction ending value fee and wasting time trying to get a credit from eBay.

He isn't offering anything...

Want to know his "secret"? You call up companies who make cool stuff and tell them you want to "review" it, or need a demo for a sale.

Same way Anand gets free hardware to review. Sometimes they will want it back, but usually they don't care. All they usually want is a copy of your "review". Big whoop...

Yes I know. I'm actually a reviewer for a major reviewing company with loads of readers. I was referring to the fact that the guy is trying to trick people to bid on it and even puts Garmin GPS in the title.

If the guy is stupid enough not to read where it's blatently stated, then he deserves what he gets. I do take issue to the one with the gateway notebook where the guy buired the line "you are bidding for blah blah (some book on how to get notebooks)" in the description of the notebook.

Here it is blatently obvious and if the guy feels ripped off, then just dont pay and take the negative feedback.
