I am looking for a pair of perscription goggles for skiing. I called one Oakley perscription sunglass place, and they said that they didnt have any ski goggles. The Oakley store had ski goggles, but didn't think that they can get them in perscription. I'm partial to Oakley because I've had good luck with their sunglasses, but I am open to other suggestions.

I know Bolle tactical goggles just have an insert, so it is probably the same with their ski goggles. You just get the insert separate from the goggles.

Won't they be really expensive? Why not just wear your glasses/contacts under regular goggles? Lots of people do.

Oakleys' prescription sunglasses are pretty pricy; i had a quote for the lens and the wire, they want $500 for the whole thing; but with mine -5.75 prescription, oakleys' lens don't go that high for sunglasses, but they do go that high for reg. glasses.

I've never seen perscription snow goggles. I've got a pair of prescription swim goggles, and was going to get a prescription scuba mask. But, in all the shopping around for ways to blow my flex spending, I haven't stumbled across prescription snow goggles.

i got some flex spending account that i need to use it all up by the end of this month, do you got any suggestions what to spend it on?

I am trying to get one of those thermu-pedic mattress, but i don't think that qualify under the flex plan.

You can get special goggles called OTG (over the glasses) goggles. They have more space to allow for glasses, some ever have tiny fans to improve ventilation, although most just have big vents. If you start fogging up, just ski faster!

Also, when you stop, take your goggles off and put tissues in them, this will decrease fogging.

Contacts. You won't be too happy when you break your goggles. I face planted doing a jump and grind and my fists slammed into my goggles as I was covering my face. CRACK. My friend who did some park stuff at Boreal later destroyed his goggles. Yeah. My $120 Oakleys have a crack and I won't be replacing them till they die but it was still painful to see that crack (no the fall didn't hurt me, just my wallet)
