Op, I've got another your gf will like. Strawberry ale from Samuel Smith's brewery in England. You would like their Taddy Porter.

I'm a fan of Sam Smiths Oatmeal Stout, I believe I've tried the Taddy porter at one point or another as well :)

Have never seen their strawberry ale, but I'll keep my eye open for it...

He's on vacation.

Back on topic...I had a Founders porter in a nearby town....I want to say it was an 1885 one. Had a coffee flavor to it...and 10.5% alky by volume. I liked, but I wouldn't sit down and drink more than 2.

Rasputin is the only russian imperial stout I've been able to find on tap semi locally. Really like the flavor and taste, but another high ABV beer and need to remind myself not to drink it like light beer swill.

A good guinness alternative for chicagoland folk, Revolution Brewery Eugene was a hit on St. Pats last year. I drank plenty of them.

Perhaps you had a KBS? Not at all easy to come by, and it's around 11% abv, lots of coffee... probably my very favorite beer :)

Old Rasputin is indeed awesome.

That said, I like all imperial stouts or double stouts as well as dry stouts and porters.

Oh nice, Rasputin. They do barrel aged Rasputin too, worth checking out if you can find it.

Spending the rest of the day trying to finish a keg of Dogfish World Wide Stout, got about a gallon left.

Haven't had luck finding the Barrel Aged Rasputin here, but I haven't really looked too hard.

The world wide stout is crazy. I've had it on a few occasions, but never more than 1 pint in any given day...

Had from Brewdog their Tokyo pretty recently, to me, it was even "bigger" tasting than the Worldwide stout, It is about 20 IBUs more than the Worldwide, and similar ABV, but, to me, it tasted more boozy or out of whack. Maybe the yeast just isn't to my liking as much as the Belgian Stuff Dogfish Head uses for the Worldwide Stout...

To me, worldwide stout is a huge wall of flavor, but it works, it's big, but it's beautiful.
The Tokyo is a wall of flavor so tall that my fat ass simply can't scale the mothertrucker.
