I just bought a new WD120 gig hard drive for my Dell Inspiron 8600
with a 5200go card. I loaded all the same programs and the exact same
version video drivers but now some games that I play are choppy. When
I reinstalled the old hard drive a Toshiba 80 gig all the games ran
perfect. Both hard drives are 5400rpm. Any help would be appreciated.
All Drivers Are installed, DMA enabled, Page file 766 megs, The only difference I found was that under IDE ATA/ATAPI controller the Primary IDE channel had different drivers. The Toshiba had version 5.1.2600.0 and the WD had 5.1.2600.2180. Just wondering if this could be the problem???
