next time try using the backspace key instead of trying to cross out your mistakes.

You could try some of that solution for eyeglasses with the antireflective coating. That should be something you could try without worry. Though I don't know how well it will work with permanent marker.

edit: My ar coating stuff won't wash off permanent marker. Nor will Endust for Electronics.
