Installed a cannula into the paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus to further inject other stuff for science. :awe:
Injected norepinephrine to make it hungry, and cerebral spinal fluid as a control.

cannula inserted into hole, screws placed into skull and dental ceramic to close the would and hold the cannula in place. The screws were put there for the dental ceramic to bond to.

poor mousey was unconscious throughout the entire procedure, and was given large doses of opiates for a day after the surgery. It's about as humane as we can treat it for scientific study.

Brain surgery on people usually involves consent and knowledge.

Even though it is needed for science I still find it sad on animals because they are not aware of what is happening to them, they cannot distinguish medical science from a viscous attack.

So one is sad (even if needed) and the other is not.

They don't know what's happening to them, sure. They also aren't sentient beings. They're just... animals. Mindless rodents. The thing was drugged to hell, he had no idea that anything was happening to begin with.

not to mention posting his lab partner. A lot of people don't like black people to begin with nor science study on animals...probably not too hard to figure out where this is.

Personally I don't think these kinds of things are suitable for ATOT...to encouraging to our members with no-lives to duplicate.
