try to update the chipset drivers, i was able to play the demo in my 9600xt at good frame rate (40-80) so you should be able to have at least 30 fps all times

ya, it could be a badly written game. From what I've read, Halo for PC is notorious for running badly on good systems. Ask around on a forum for ppl that have the game, and you might get more success.

Did you play it with everything maxed out? And during large fire fights with tens of units on screen?

The game runs just fine on my sys, but really, I don't have the time to get involved in multi-unit fragging. This type of game is not my cup of tea anyways. It ran fast, colors were great, with no install issues. I did not experience any lag for the hour or so that I played it. Any further analysis will have to come from someone who actually plays this game, like yourself. Good Luck in finding your gremlin.

this reminds me of my problems with call of duty. on my old system, cpu, ram, video card all the same, then i switched into my shuttle and the game went to sh!t. nothing could fix it

old comp : xp2600+ bfg 6600gt oc + 1 gb corsair = 200 fps or whatever

shuttle : xp2600 + bfg 6600gt oc +1 gb corsair = 9 fps super slow crappy wtfomgimgoingtokill you

i have not played the game since. it was my favourite game

what gremlin?

I play this game (one of my favorites). On this rig, I am able to play at 1920x1440 0xaa/16xaf and I get 30+fps. The game sometimes slows down with a large 8 player map, but nothing that would approach unplayable.

I'm sorry I don't know what could be causing your problem or how to fix it, short of reformating. It does appear you are having some kind of conflict though. You should be able to play this game at high res and high fps on your system.
