What would be the performance difference between getting $200+ of 1 gig dual channel perfomance RAM over $150 value 1 gig dual channel value ram? Is the price worth the performance increase?

I have been told there is very little difference at stock speeds, performance ram is ment for overclocking. so if you dont plan on that, i would go with the value. if i am wrong please correct me, dont want to give any wrong responses :)

I think you are on the money dude, tight timings at ddr400 are not worth the extra 50 bucks, but if you want serious performance aka getting to ddr 500+ then yeah its worth the extra dough.

I am going to buy some nice stuff, but I will need it for OCing.
