I currently have a 1700+ processor. I can run it at 140fsb with no problems at all. Actually it will do 145fsb. The 1600+ chips are so cheap at newegg and now you can order the GOIA stepping or what ever the good one is. Would I see any diffference at all or would it just be in benchmarks? I currently have an epox 8kha+ motherboard. Also dont some of the new motherboards do 166mhz without the pci bus being overclocked? I was just wondering. I would like faster access of opening programs but I guess i might need raid or a SCSI hard drive for that. I really do not know. Thanks for your time!!!

usually ppl get it overclocked between 1.7ghz ~ 1.9ghz.
mine is at 1.72ghz.
personally I dont think you will notice the difference between it and yours... but that's just me
