I ordered Iwill KK-266 mobo. They sent me the K 266-R (raid version). Anyone know what the pros and cons would be if I kept the KK 266-R? please help!

Thanks,
Dhanu...

Same board, just with the raid controller. Identical otherwise, regular has the traces and places to put the raid connectors. If you don't use it, no harm, disabled it uses no additional resources.

If you aren't using going to raid, then there is absolutely no difference. Go ahead and keep the board.

BTW, some people may suggest that you use the raid ports for regular IDE. It works somewhat, but in my experience doing so makes the system very, very unhappy. The onboard raid is not designed to operate as regular IDE. Iwill has confirmed this.
