Performance Issue with 6800

For I don't know how long, my graphics card has been having some performance issues. It wasn't until just the other day that I ran a benchmark and saw it wasn't scoring how it should. All I did before then was play games. I've tried almost everything I can think of so far: reinstalled Forceware drivers, reinstalled chipset drivers, reformatted, changed power supply lines to the graphics card, ran just the core system components, messed with settings in applications, games, the motherboard BIOS, nothing. According to 3DMark01, my fillrates are where they should be. Clockspeed times pipelines = about the correct number. I even tried the card in my dad's computer, and it performed much more like it should, so I know the card itself is OK, and I know, since I reformatted, that it's not a software issue. Only thing I can think of is that the motherboard is acting up. Any suggestions?

Your problem is a little vague. Saying it's slow in benchmarks means nothing unless you can give us some scores to compare.

Try running 3dMark2003 and 2005 and tell us what you get for scores.

And by the way, stop running 3dmark2001, that test is very CPU dependent, not GPU dependent. 😉

It's not just benchmark performance, it's everything. Here's an example.

That's what I used to get with 12 pipelines, 5 vertex shaders wth just overclocking.

This is the best I can do now, with overclocking and all 16 pipelines and 6 vertex shaders unlocked.

When before I'd get 4185 in 3DMark05 with just overclocking. With overclocking PLUS unlocking pipelines and vertex shaders, I now can get 4078.

Using 3DMark01 I can determine that my fillrates are where they should be. The fillrates test has nothing to do with the CPU. 420MHz core clock times 16 pipelines equals 6720 megatexels per second, which is pretty close to what I'm getting there. So this is just all the more confusing.
