Performance difference between sdram and ddr (p4)

im ooking to ge ta p4 mobo, so im wondering how much of a diff does ddr make

A hell of a lot. SDR is a performance killer. Also, RDRAM gives better performance than DDR SDRAM, so the hierarchy is as follows.
RDRAM
DDR SDRAM
SDRAM

Get Rdram. P4 was made with rdram in mind.

Well, when I overclock my fsb my DDR BEATS Rdram, wouldnt even think about sdram it would have between 400 and 600 mbps DDR will be 2100 to 2800 mbps and rdram is around 2500 mbps.

I have gotten 2738mbps sandra benchmark with my kingmax pc2700 DDR

You know, you can overclock RDRAM based P4 systems as well. DDR SDRAM doesn't have a monopoly on overclocking.

RDRAM gives 3.2 GB/sec

Not according to Sandra 2002. Thats what hes using as the comparison.

According to this page, you get nearly 3700mbps in Sandra with RDRAM. And those results are with all sorts of junk running...I've seen other results near 3900mbps with RDRAM.
