Last time I bought a hard drive for backup stoage reasons, I was told, nothing over 2TB was really tested enough to know whether they could last in larger sizes. Are we still at a place where one has to be careful over 2TB?
No, large drives are fine. Just dont attemp to use them for a Windows installation. Linux I'm not so sure.
I'm using a 10Tb drive for all my movies and music and photos. No issues. But important stuff I still keep backed up on a thumb drive. Cuz I'm still paranoid.
