Our uni has several textbooks digitalized in TeX. There's now some sort of government tender to create an electronic library, but applications are required to be either in XML, or convertable to XML.
The main problem is that these textbooks are full of formulae, figures, tables and other forms of nonstandard text content. Is there an easy way to convert stuff like that from TeX to XML with any decent degree of accuracy? I'd go out and test myself, but I'm a newb at both TeX and XML, so I wouldn't know how.
