Perfect Gaming Rig Suddenly Gone Bad!

HDD Repartition with full format on 3 partitions
XP SP1 Orignal Install
Install MW
Install FRAPS
Install nothing else for the next 4-5days unless I am getting any problem, in that case I should install Service Packs and Autopatcher
Keep the system isolated without net connection

and then report back.
I will be using onboard sound, so creative is not the worry.
Right?

Not quite
Format the HDD, all partitions.
Install Win XP
Install Servicepack 2
Install Motherboard drivers and onboard sound drivers
Install Graphic card drivers
Install MW
Install FRAPS

In that order. Make sure onboard sound is enabled in BIOS and that you removed your soundblaster card.

I had just skipped SP2. Should I try with SP1 first and install SP2 only if required or install SP3 without trying MW on SP1.

This thread has been going on for a long time now. i really cant understand what u r doing here... u have even gone to the extent of threating the members and at the same time asking for excuse :S

See bud, this is what we are talking about. Wolfkin told you to install SP2. Yet you, on your own accord, decide not to. "Oh, I think I'll just skip it." How about, lets not skip it and do what you were asked to do in an effort (last effort that is) to help you. Your time is almost up.
