Hmm the two universities ive attended all had wall mounted controls that control the room's entire AV system. Probably more expensive but the touch screen LCD makes things a lot easier for people who have no idea whats going on when starring at a remote

ya, why sit and stare at a remote they dont know how to use when you can stand and stare at a wall mounted LCD that they dont know how to use... :p

They are using Bluray for presentations? Aren't those things still like 25 bucks a pop? I sure hope they are using them to their full capacity.

the wall mounted remote has clearer buttons and can change its layout according to context, which makes navigating it a bit easier

This makes me wonder what my university is wasting money on. Currently the chancellor is trying to raise tuition to pay for extra crap that we don't need.
