I don't mind criticism of Bush...but he can just as easily do it in private. McCain no doubt has the ear of the President, and could easily just give him a ring and express his concerns without going public about not liking Rumsfeld. He was the same way during the campaign, he barely even supported Bush and never criticized Kerry. Don't get me wrong, I think McCain is one of the most honest politicians around (and a great man), but I don't personally like his politics that much.

what don't you like about McCain's politics ?

I also don't agree much with McCain's policies (he's far too right wing for me) but I greatly respect him for the fact that he is one of the fews statesmen left. He speaks his opinions honestly, but nearly always tries to avoid any personal or vindictive attacks.

I wish McCain would just leave the party, he criticizes Bush more than goddamn democrats do. I used to like him too....

Yeah but on the bright side for you party hacks, McCain towed the party line to get Bush re-elected. Cheer up.

So, just because he criticizes Bush, you stop liking him? What's the logic in that? I could understand if you stopped liking him due to some policy he has or if he screwed up to much. But not liking him because he criticizes Bush, just doesn't make any sense.
Because in the current political climate in the U.S. of Idiots, dissent is not allowed. You vill mind der Fuhrer!
