Pepsi ThrowBack is back....and appears to be permanent this time.

Just returned from the grocery store. Pepsi ThrowBack is back and the cartons lack the "For a limited time." statement on the carton as it used to have.

Guess the "rumors" of Pepsi making this move came true....finally!

No more corn syrup sweeteners!

G/F and I found some Mountain Dew Throwback at our local Kroger's. Haven't seen the Pepsi, but I think they are just getting bought up very quickly.

We prefer this way more than the HFCS stuff. While they are both tasty, the HFCS feels slimey in comparison to the sugar.

I get a sourish aftertaste with the HFCS crap. About quit drinking sodas completely except when the ThrowBack comes out. Just ran out of the many cartons I bought when it last came out in its last limited release.

Now that it has come back as a staple item, I may reduce some of the coffee drinking I've been doing.

There is some candy out there that wouldn't be the same without it. When I want my sweets, I wants them sweet.

Of course if you're a food junkie who eats to hide the pain inside, quit blaming food for your lack of ability dealing with your personal problems.

While I don't necessarily know if there are any true health impacts with HFCS, I definitely think regular sucrose has a better mouth-feel in carbonated beverages.
It's "cleaner", as it doesn't feel like there's a coating throughout your entire mouth.

I prefer throwback pepsi to coke. Wonder why coke hasn't responded in the US already. I think they said some shit about "there is Mexican coke" which is nonsense when I can't buy it at a walmart.

The great thing about Pepsi Throwback is that it's not simply a switch to Cane Sugar; it's also an entirely different formula, the formula from back in the 70s or 80s or something.
To my tongue, that formula is a whole lot better than today's Pepsi;
Mountain Dew Throwback, however, is a little too different, considering it tastes more like an amped-up Sprite than what MD has come to represent in recent decades.

if Coca-Cola came out with a readily-available Cane Sugar version of Coke, I'd be ecstatic, and I rarely ever drink pop anymore. I've had the Mexican Coca-Cola and like it more than anything else, simply because it tastes like Coke but has no syrup-film feel.

The cartons I bought today, which lack the "Limited Time" printing- on the carton as mentioned before, have an exp. date of 9-12-11, so I don't think they're leftovers at all but a "new" release of the Throwback becoming a permanent fixture.

One of the problems Pepsi had with going back to real sugar sodas was, from what I saw and heard on a Pepsi meeting about just this subject, that not all their bottling plants were able to handle sugar, so that was the reason the Throwbacks had staggered release instead of a blanket nationwide release.

I had one this morning and it was really good. Throwback > Pepsi > Coke.

It's been a staple on base here in San Antonio since I moved here. If I drink soda, I prefer to drink this.

I almost never drink soda, but I think I might pick up some Throwback. Have it on good authority that its pretty good from a few people I know, but I wasn't willing to hunt all over town for it like they were.

The difference is that candy NEEDS syrup. Sodas do not.

I'm pleased to announce that my 15 year quest for the deliciousness that is Mexican cane sugar cola... is over.

Pepsi Throwback is now available in Canada! Mac's Milk has started stocking it. Lunch today was practically orgasmic. :awe:

I didn't notice if they had the Mt Dew. I'm just hoping it's here to stay.
