What's up with this thread? My recent posts say I commented here this morning at 8:28 but I didn't! There were a lot of posts that somehow showed up at the same time too. Weird. Forum poltergeist? UFIA?

Geez, they're working on it, cut them some slack.

1.1 RC2 was released in 2005.

I don't understand your point. They are OBVIOUSLY still in the process of putting the site back up.

Dude, it's version 1.1. I don't think you understand how old 2005 is. It's 2008 now.

I never really understood the hype around TFNN.

I don't think there is any hype. You either get it or you don't.

Are you telling me you missed the viral video campaign, the mock protest of Hormel, AND the Super Bowl ad?

Um... yeah, THAT'S what it was. And nothing else!

Did someone forget to pay the hosting bill?

I doubt that's it. I just hope the forum database is in tact and he's kept an offsite backup.

DOH!!!

Hopefully Wally logs on to AIM or calls me back soon.

The host takes backups that are not kept on the dedicated TFNN server. I have an offsite backup of the DB, but it's a little old...

What's the date of your most recent backup? Hopefully it's within the past month or so?

If someone gets ahold of Wally, please PM sixone for my cell phone number and ask him to call me.

Thanks!

Latest offline is 2 July 07 , but didn't include the DB...

Hopefully TFNN.net management has learned since this incident and is keeping frequent backups?

The important part of my post is 'offline'. The host backs up daily. I take backup occasionally and store them offline, at home, in case of complete failure of the site and host. Worst case is we lose a weeks neffing.
