Pepboys sell crappy parts?

The lift support for my mom's 05 sienna trunk is leaking air, so she needs to replace it. All the stores (internet, autozone, Napa) quoted (with shipping) me in the around the $100 range for 1. Pepboys, howeverm said they have it for $50....I never bought auto parts from Pepboys....this going to be a case of get what you pay for?

I would buy the cheap part in your case. It definitely can be crappier, but these things are so likely to break generally that you probably just got unlucky.

Try the dealer. Claim that it shouldn't be failing already...

But has good quality parts.

I buy a lot of stuff from RA if I can. Bought the oil filters for my CTS in bulk. 😉
