I was talking to 2 neighbors today when I went out to get the mail, 1 said he was going to Taco Bell to get some lunch and asked if we wanted to join. I said no and the other said no and made a comment about how he hopes they give him a roll of TP with his order because he'll need it. He went back inside and I stayed talking to the TP comment guy, he tells me he's eaten at TB about 5 times in his life and had bathroom problems 3 of them. I explain I've eaten there probably 100 times and never had a problem once. My question is why do people who have weak stomachs always blame their problems on "shitty ass quality food" If you can't stomach TB, TB's not the problem. I always thought when people made these types of comments about fast food places they were semi kidding, I know it's not great quality but there are people who seriously get the shits every time they eat it? haha wow.

You're body is probably used to greasy food. For somebody who eats healthy most of the time, something like Taco Bell can screw you up.

Where do you think all the 'allergies, food intolerance and, food related health problems' come from? Our entire society eats way too many over processed foods and exacerbates the problem by eating too little variety. You may not have a problem now but, just wait a few years. Enjoy the grease bombs now, your time is coming.

This. Our stomachs are accustomed to our regular diets. One can adjust it to be more tolerant of a certain kind of food simply by eating it more often, but it's not always a pleasant process.

It doesn't have to be "bad" food. Ever go to a foreign country? Try some crazy ass food you've never had? It can be a shock to your system.

Exactly. I'll give you a good example. I know someone who went vegan for two years. The first time they ate meat again, they got really sick. Their body wasn't used to handling meat anymore.

I'm thinking this. I generally have a weak stomach. I can't drink anything but water or something similar like apple juice or I'll get bloated (especially cafeinated stuff). I ate & drank nearly nothing on my wedding day just in case.

But generally I can eat junk food & fast food with zero problems.

The only time I really had a small stomac issue with food is that time I ate 6 cheeseburgers in a row just to see how many I could eat. Went for a poop and felt a bit crappy for a few hours even after the poop. Went for another poop a couple hours after and felt like a new man. It was like re-enacting Titanic, the ship of dreams. Broke in 3 pieces and sunk straight to the bottom.

I don't get it, if my body gets accustomed to eating certain types of food, why would military mess hall cause me digestive problems randomly after 3 years of eating the same stuff. About 2/5 of the meals I ate there resulted in me getting heartburn and I had to take pills every day to control acid production. After I was discharged I no longer had any problems whether I purchased a pizza (local pizzeria no chain crap) or prepared my own meals.

I've worked at a hospital for 6 years, still cant eat the food without major heartburn. Whatever is in their stuff, just murders my gut. Otherwise I rarely if ever get heartburn.

If Taco Bell can F- you up then I have a hard time believing you're a "healthy" human being.

I'm exactly the same way. I pretty much only drink water but when I want something sweet to drink, it's apple juice. I'll drink Dr. Pepper on occasion, like one can every two months, if I'm eating pizza or a burger and I'll feel like crap the rest of the day.

Food-wise, I eat way too much fast food and never have a problem.

I guess you at least have a choice. I had a mandatory monthly deduction of almost $300 from my pay for the messhall regardless if I ate there or not.

Because the majority of the people on here are pussies?
lol. Well I dunno about that, but I sure see a lot of people that can't handle Taco Bell (or basically any fast food) or something as weak as Bud Light (tastes like "piss", lulz).

I've had a problem with Taco Bell under-cooking the meat before. However, I actually got food poisoning from Wendys. I will probably never eat there again. Just the thought of it turns off my appetite.

I think it has to do with both weak stomach/digestion and food 'culture shock'.

By example, the strange eats shows. They go all over they place and eat weird ass stuff. They down it, and Im sure much of the crew eats local foods on trips too. Just stronger stomachs and digestion.

You can be a model of health and still not be able to handle some foods. Wither those foods can be defined as healthy or not is wholly irrelevant.
