Can someone else with an Asrock 939DualSATA2 Mobo and 6800NU AGP or any 6800 for that matter run PCMark04 and tell me what you get for this test
"Graphics Memory - 64 Lines"

I am getting 1256 and it seems everybody twice that with the same garphics card on the orb. I would like to find out if it is my system or the Asrock mobo.

And this might explain my weak 3dmark05 score even though i get great 3dmark03 scores.

Bump.
I'm thinking about getting this board, I'd like to know if this is an issue as well.

I post this result on the other asrock mobo thread i copied and pasted what i put in that thread

Ok i hooked everything up. Everyonce in a while there is a little lag when say putting a cd in and switching from programs but the majority of things are noticably faster. here are benchs (free)
My old specs were Asus 865pe mobo, 3.2 northwood, 1 gig of ram, Bfg 6800 agp
new rig Asrocks 939 mobo, x2-3800, and same 1 gig of ram, Bfg 6800 agp

Pcmark05 (p4 rig) 3731 Pcmark05 new (X2-3800 rig) 4246

3D Mark05(P4) 3572 3D Mark05(X2) 3351

Im still a newbie of sorts but some things i dont like
Floppy Drive is connection is under pci slot at bottom
Ide connection near bottom i like them closer to middle right of board like my Asus865pe
Im not an expert but BIOS seems limited (no probe etc)

Default setting bring my 2 sticks of ram to 333 instead of 400 so i adjusted that. 1 question is under agp the fastwrite is disabled should i enable that?
I haven tried to overclock yet because i could find the exact setting in the bios that someone said to adjust. when i reboot and go into bios my temp says around 41c

All in all its ok for what i need it to do and it saved me from buying a new pci express card. Im dont have the knowledge most of you all have so its hard to give my opinion on how it would compare to other boards

phillyman36,

i need to know just that one detail, Graphics Memory - 64 Lines.

The PCMark04 itself i get 5080, but that one detail i am running 1/2 the speed as everybody on futuremark orb. So if you can get the one detail for me that would be great.

Ok i am going to have to say that there isn't a problem.

I just ran the benchmark on a dual dualcore 275 with a quadroFX 3400 and it got 1500 for that one detail. So i am not quite sure how so many got >2000 on the orb?

If you are wondering the DualDual Core opteron got a score of 6300 at 2.2Ghz if you wanted to know lol.

Mine has: - '1265.127' 64Line score. I'm not sure why but it didn't give me a Total score? Said something that it must be checked or something?? I can't find anywhere to set anything. Anyways, my system is:

X2 3800+ @ 2.6ghz, 6800 @ 16x6x pipes(stock clocks) 1GB DC DDR. Memory is at a lowly 173mhz right now. I am not sure on what impact that will have.

Not sure if this helps or not. :)

I had to enable FastWrites or Far Cry would lock up.

Usually I've had it disabled on other boards as I'd heard it could cause instability.

However, now I've enabled it, Far Cry is working correctly and I haven't had any issues at all.

Benchmark scores are slightly up too in 3dMark 03.

This is with an AGP X800XT and an AMD X2 4400+.

My thinking is that the ATI cards don't see as much performance hit, that Nvidia cards perform less well on non-Nvidia chipsets.

Hey is anyone else having a problem playing games using direct 3d. i installed the agp driver that came on the disk then did the nvidia drivers. Whenever i try to play i have a a bunch of problems, and its a different problem each time i uninstall the graphics drivers and reinstall them. Ex: in call of duty ive had it have the bushes and trees flicker like crazy, and then the game freezes up after about a minute. another time the main screen was way slow and my mouse moved about every 5 secs. What the heck is wrong with this, another time i did the dx diag test once and the cube was spinning like a mother then reinstalled drivers and the dx diag test was fine, but 3dmark 2003 would crash and shut down my computer on the plane test. i have a 5900, is anyone else have a problem like this, all i can say is i was fine before i switched over to this motherboard and am using the same graphics card. HELP, i cant play anything. Just sitting on the desktop stinks. Ive emailed asrock support with this issue and they still havent said anything after 2 days.

SilentEagle1,

Do not use the AGP Drivers that came with the motherboard. Go get the Integrated 2.1 Drivers from www.uli.com for the M1695 chip.

uninstall nvidia drivers, uninstall agp drivers
restart
install integrated 2.1 drivers
restart
install nvidia driver
restart

I have played Age of Empire 3 Trail and it runs perfect at 1280x1024, Full Everything but no AA, so i think my direct3d does work. but i have not tired anything else direct3d. Doom3 runs fine.
