People who use Gmail....

it's working fine here. Every so often a few of the image ones get through. It's like every 3-4 weeks that happens, and then it stops.

I've only had one false positive that was real email, and a couple of false positives that were advertisements I actually signed up for.

What are people doing to get dozens of spam messages a day anyway? I get 1 a week MAX, usually 1 a month. I'm curious about how you score so much spam.

I do not get any spam in my inbox, it all gets filtered to the spambox.

I use two Gmail accounts. One for registering accounts on the web, signing up for stuff etc. Other is just for friends and family and never used on the Web. Interestingly, both accounts receive pretty much the same amount of spam. And I don't recall spam ever making it to my Inbox.

I use my email for all the places I shop and forums. I've had it posted in a few places so I'm sure crawlers got it. And you're never sure who will sell your email. Yes, I know about the plus trick, but I don't care enough really.

I would care more if I could have gotten my name@gmail.com

No problems here. All spam I get is directed towards my spam box, which I never look at.

Yes. I use Gmail hosted email, so I can use my same old domain email address.

I always have between 4500-5000 messages in my last 30 days spam folder. That is about 150 spams a day. (I have had my email address for ~8 years)

I usually would get 1-3 a day in my Inbox. Now I get about 5-6 a day.

I just keep clicking the Report Spam button. Hopefully that actually works.

Well I do agree with LS20 that they should allow more control over the spam filter. It would also be nice to set it up to auto-purge the spam at set intervals.

Mine gets tons but it's surely simply due to the fact that it's my name which is not a uncommon name at all.

Filter catches most of what I get. Just check it and hit the "report spam" button. It'l adapt eventually.

I've had only 1 slip through this year. Maybe 1 year year too. Though this year my spam folder has gone up from 6 spam to 218 spam.

I've started to get spam in the inbox over the last few months. Some day only 3 or 4 slip through. other days, more than 10...

I get a ton of spam, but the filter catches it. Maybe 1 a week slips through. Not too bad, IMO.

I have two, one that's nickname@ and the other is firstinitiallastname@. The nickname gets upwards of two dozen a day while real name gets none.
