Well they do want to KNOW how to do something, just not go through the effort of LEARNING. Kinda like how a fat person says "I really gotta lose some weight" and then order pizza.
Stop pointing out my flaws!!!

This annoys me. People who say "I really want to learn how to (example) make a webpage. You can do that, think you can help teach me?"
They never actually ask for your help, but every time you're around them, and a web page is mentioned, they say "I really want to learn to make those".
This goes on for months or years, and they never do so much as buy a book, or read an online tutorial, or try it once.
Stop saying "I want to learn... (skill X)". If you actually wanted to learn, you'd have done it by now! What you really mean to say is "I find skill X mildly interesting, but not enough so that I'd actually put the slightest bit of effort into aquainting myself with it".
This isn't jsut websites, or tech skills.... It applies to everything. "I really want to learn to work on cars, but I'm taking my car to get the oil changed".
