How is the traffic on the 605S (between 60 and 5) and 60E (3 exits before 605) at 6:30-7:30 in the morning? How is the traffic on the 605N at around 5pm going from 5 to 60?
People who know LA freeway conditions in the morning.

I think the 605 and 60 should be ok around 6-7am. Around 5pm everything sucks... especially the 5.
Just your normal rush hour conditions where it will take 3x the regular amount of time it would on a open conditions. 
At 6:30am it'll be bad but not as bad as 7am and after. 5pm anywhere is hell.

605 SOUTH of the 5 freeway is almost ALWAYS good unless there is an accident. NORTH of the 5 is another story where it goes down to three lanes and just sucks until after the 10 where it opens up again.
60 west into LA in the morning is decent - not 405 slow but not fast either (40-50 mph). 60 East coming from LA after the 710 is crap all the way to like the 57 most of the time.
It sounds like you are going to LA. I suggest you get the pass for the 10 carpool lane which is very good (both west and east for the morning and eves) if you can utilize it. I know the buses take it and official carpool cars. I do not suggest taking the 5, it'd be better to take the 60 in the morning into the downtown area. Don't even think about taking the 5 south from downtown, that's a nightmare.

Sorry, OT, but I live in PA, and when I visited LA and Pasadena I was absolutely amazed. Before that time I had never seen 10 lanes of traffic all filled to the brim. Makes where I live look like Hickville.
not sure about 605.
but I used to work in city of industry, and I can tell ya 60 East bound (from 710/Fremont to Asuza) in morning is clear until 11:00am. Westbound works exactly the opposite, heavy traffic in the morning.

I don't think I had ever seen a longer cement block wall until I visited LA. What an ugly way to separate the freeway from the towns.
