and what about the tail-gating freaks that sit a foot off of the bumper of the people in front of them and weave back and forth? I can't believe you guys talk about things like shining lights in on people and think it's normal rational behavior....... I myself always leave a decent distance between me and the next driver and always try to stay right as much as possible, but it isn't always possible or practical, esp. with some tailgating freaks or people that speed up in the *right* hand lane and don't allow me to merge into that lane.
Whatever happened to the concept of Speed Limit? It's not Speed Minimum, it's speed *limit* and if you don't want a speeding ticket you have to go *under* the speed limit.
Anyway, I know your type. In the 16 years I've had my license, I've driven well over a million freeway miles. Sometimes I think that I have truly seen it all. You should have your license revoked for incompetent driving skills. Let me be clear, if other drivers are impatiently passing you on your right, you are doing something very, very wrong. And the
Thank you.
My thoughts exactly, he needs executed ASAP.
Last time I checked there is no law that says that anyone owns the left hand lane -- at least not in my state. There are however laws against harassing people and reckless driving. I can't believe you guys think harassing people and flashing lights at people is rational. The basic fact is that you need a certain distance between you and the next person in order to have a safe stopping distance.
The other reality is that yes, I do pay attention to what goes on traffic, but if the road-hogging people show in the right hand lane too, and do their best to make it impossible to merge into the right hand lane too -- I wonder if any of you do that too.. that really helps, doesn't it if you never let people merge into the right hand lane -- doesn't it?
Having such an inflated ego that you can't even allow people to pass you isn't better driving, it's basically hazardous driving -- and it's what leads to those 20 car pile ups you hear about once in a while.

It shall be unlawful to fail to give way to overtaking traffic when driving a motor vehicle to the left and abreast of another motor vehicle on a divided highway. On audible or light signal, the driver of the overtaken vehicle shall move to the right to allow the overtaking vehicle to pass as soon as the overtaken vehicle can safely do so. A violation of this section shall not be construed as negligence per se in any civil action.

Anyone ever actually literally push the idiot pacers out of the way? (get within 1 inch of their bumper then slam on the gas?)
Never actually tried this method myself, seen it done once and been tempted to many times though. Most bumpers today are pretty flimsy. Would that technically be hit & run? It's not exactly an "accident"...

My fiancee does both of this...it drives me crazy. She will race up to the next car in the right hand lane and tailgate the $hit out of them, get frustrated, move into the left lane, then slow down and stay there forever pissing everyone off. She does not seem to realize that she is doing it. I have tried to tell her but she denies it and then it never seems to change. Now I just drive everywhere.
BTW - please don't shoot my fiancee.
