People who don't take care of their stuff

Does it piss you off when people don't take care of their things? Especially electronics. I can't stand when someone has something (like a phone) and they just throw it around like it's nothing, or decorate it with stickers or stupid skins, ding it up, drop it, and generally act like they don't give a shit about it. It's probably because I baby everything that I own, but goddamn, people seriously take shitty care of things they own.

Who gives a shit? As long as it isn't affecting me, I don't care. Like if the neighbors didn't take care of their house at all it might piss me off because it would reduce the value of my home.

But if someone wants to treat their phone or car like shit I don't really care.

I used to have a phone I treated like shit. When I was drunk I would see how much abuse it could handle before it would break. One time I tossed it off the balcony of a 4 story building. All that happened was the battery flew out. Still worked great after I put it back in.

My phone is a disposable instrument. i treat it as such. Nothing makes me laugh more than people who cart around outdated products in pristine condition.

You know, I normally take very good care of my things, but I'm going to go clean some DVD's using a circular motion just to piss you off.

Eh phones are a bad example they are cheap, and can often be replaced for free.

My phone is beat up, scratched up, has some epoxy on it, has had water running through it on more then one occasion, and is missing it's antenna.

Oh...but people who's cell phones are dirty bothers the heck out of me. Especially if its got a large screen. I just want to grab it and clean that mother off!

Yeah, I have little respect for people who trash their cars.

Things like bald tires, missing hubcaps, broken antennas/handles, cloudy headlights, bodykits askew, sun-faded plastic parts, bubbled tint, trash and litter inside, etc.

Good phones aren't free.

no phone is really free. You have to sign a 2 year contract to get it for no cost. Even a cheap phone usually costs around $100 if you buy it outright.

I'm liking how Tmobile give you the options of just paying for your phone and not signing a contract now. That should get people to realize that phone DO have a cost to them.

It's true. T-Mobile has even been giving discounts on monthly bills for bringing your own phone.

It may be a hidden cost but every phone is costing you $$$.

For some reason unknown to me it bothers me when I get into a car that somebody else owns which is obviously intended to be flashy or impress others (such as an Escalade or Navigator) and the inside looks like a landfill. Even worse if the person seems to have absolutely no intelligence or depth to their being. Otherwise no, if it doesn't affect me I don't really care.

Doesn't bother me a bit. I might get annoyed if someone calls something crap because they trashed it. That only annoys me because it's stupid and is impeding their ability to make good value judgments.

Example: My Honda Civic broke down on the third time I used it to haul my bass boat down a muddy pot-holed road. Honda Civics suck.

I'm guilty of this with some things I suppose, mostly my phone. It's not a smart phone though, and it's probably nearly three years old now. I can't justify the extra $30/mo for a data plan and a smartphone, so who cares about a crappy phone. I have a nice soft rubber case for my iPod touch though, which I take pretty good care of. That's a $300 piece of electronics that will probably last longer than a phone, and have more value if I ever decide to sell it if I replace it with newer technology.

When I sold cell phones...I would always start by telling customers what the retail price of a phone was, then I would tell them how much it was with a contract. I had very few people coming back after they broke/lost/flushed their phone thinking that they could get another one for free.

And yea...Tmobile is giving me ~$20/month to not be in a contract. Setup autopay, pay full pop for a phone, and save $25/month. I just hope they don't get bought up by one of the bigger companies any time soon. Unless its Sprint but there's a 0% chance of that happening.
