It's not enough that you had the pleasure of your friends' company? :D
Next time, stop in the middle of bumfcuk and obtain $$ before continuing.

wow, you sound like a little girl. are you really that cheap that you are pissed they didn't OFFER to pay? if you are the kind of person that would make your friends chip in for gas, you should have at least been a man and asked them to, or discussed it before. I would never offer to pay for gas for someone. you are crazy...

It must be a cultural thing? Asians tend to believe in unsolicited reciprocity. The only problem is that if you don't do what's expected (intentionally or not), you get on the ****** list.

If you want something, ask for it. If you don't ask, you have NO right to be angry or to complain about it.

Next time, just hitch a ride from one of your friends and don't pay for the gas. It'll all work out in the end.

yep, sounds like some inconsiderate bastards, but if all the inconsiderate bastards were gone from your life who would be left?

should have set expectations beforehand. Anyone with class though would have offered to begin with. In conclusion you need to grow a pair and find some friends with class.

Agreed, if people don't offer me gas money, I tell them to pay up.

Not sure how old you are but if you're going to a wedding...

People that ask for gas money are very lame once you reach a certain point in your life. Some people simply can't resist begging for money though. I have a friend who makes $70K a year and then asks for gas money. That's simply uncalled for.

I don't think I've asked for gas money since high school. I was dead broke in college but just found asking for gas money to be really lame. If you need gas money then don't drive.

Now, in my above example I never asked for gas. But when I blow $60/trip on it, it's not a small figure if I do it on a regular basis. If it cost $30/trip, it'd help out alot. Especially since it added about 30 minutes worth of driving just to pick them up. It's just one of those things were if people help out a little, I'll help them out more.
