Just over an hour on 1x Media,
Under 1/2hr an hour on 2x Media,
And around 16minutes for 4x Media.

Anyone know anything on the burner that supports the 20 gig blank dvd discs? It's supposedly supports the same media that movies come on. My friend told me something about this, but don't know what it's called or what info to look for. thanks.

i think you're talking about the Blu-Ray (sp?) discs. Sony just released on in Japan, I think.

edit: Sony press release

edit2: Sony Blu-ray DVD recorder

i think the max for moview is 17 gigs, which is double sided + dual layer; so I think each layer still gets abuot 4.7 gigs. I don't think any home burners do dual layers, do they?

I'm still waiting for blu-ray and any other technologies that may come along soon that'll make buying one a simpler purchase, but I'm starting to get anxious. :)

Is your copy of Nero updated to the latest version?? It's at 5.5.10.20 right now.

Damn! Isn't that around $500 worth of disks? Ain't they around a buck a piece?
