I was talking with a buddy showing him my new baby,a gift from my uncle,then his friend whom I never met kept using the word shotty and I just wanted to punch him in the mouth...bad...:confused:


Not sure why but it was annoying as hell..

Same with any other abbreviation that replaces any number of letters with a "y".

Westy (Westinghouse)
Comfy (comfortable)

I've never heard a shotgun called "shotty" before. I thought a shotty was a shorty which equals pal/buddy.

Back in my day (damn I make myself sound old), a "shorty" meant someone you hung out with maybe a little bit younger than you. So my older cousins would call me shorty.
