I don't keep note of all of them, I simply launch IE. Basically if a site doesn't work properly in Firebird, I can launch IE and it'll work properly. These sites are definitely in the minority, and the annoyance isn't enough to make me use IE as my primary browser.

I never said anything to dispute Zenmervolt's post, genius.
 
I like Opera because I can switch active windows by just pressing right mouse button and scrolling, I can move back/forward/refresh/close/create windows by pressing the right button and moving the rat left/right/up/down. It can block all popups in case I want, and it can search on Google on an instant. Plus, it has much more features.

this is not necessarily directed at you vaerilis,

but why is it when there is a FEATURE built into windows (like windows backup for eg.) the "Intelligent Techies" scream about how much better the 3rd party utility is, but when opera has a feature built in for which there are many good 3rd party utilities, it's a good thing?

 
Both work fine for me. One nice thing about Mozilla perhaps is that the forum's "Quick Reply" box works in it but doesn't (at least not for me) in IE.
 
IE is old and lame. Even the crappiest alternative browser does it all better. Microsoft totally dropped the ball on the browser wars.
 
Guys, don't knock on Firebird until you try it. I kept using IE just until yesterday and I must say Firebird is much better. I'm sticking with this one for sure. 😉 Thanks.

weird, they dropped the ball on the browsers war by WINNING??


They didn't JUST win because it was part of the OS, they won because IE was basically on par with it's competition and it was convenient. was it TOTALLY BETTER? No, was it competitive AND had the advantage of being packaged with the OS, YES, hence it won.

they didn't DROP the ball.

Yes they did. They sat on their laurels and watched the competition get better and better while doing nothing about it. IE may have won the browser wars but now Microsoft are just sitting on their asses watching everyone surpass them with features and eventually speed. They dropped the ball.
