I just ordered a 4600+ and am now looking to get my motherboard. However I hear some of the boards will need a BIOS update. I am switching from an Intel system so I will have no chip to boot the system up with and do the update. Does any one no of a board that ships ready to use with the x2? I would like SLI and one of the "better" boards.

I'm in a very similar situation, going from Abit NF7-S v2 and Athlon XP 1700+ to ASUS A8N-E and X2 4400+. While I have heard some encouraging news that some A8N-series boards have booted X2s without a newer BIOS, I will find out for certain in a few days whether this combo will work with the shipping BIOS or not, and you can be sure that I'll inform the forums of how things turn out.
